Recent Developments on the Analysis of Interval-censored Failure Time Data

            Academic Report

Title: Recent Developments on the Analysis of Interval-censored Failure Time Data

Reporter: Prof.SUN Jianguo (University of Missouri, Jilin University)

            Time: June 22, 2017(Thursday) PM 3:00-4:00

Location: A#1101 room, Innovation Park Building

            Contact: WANG Xiaoguang(tel: 84708351-8013)

Abstract: Interval-censored failure time data occur in many fields such as demography, economics, medical research and reliability, and many inference procedures on them have been developed (Chen et al., 2012; Sun, 2006).  In this talk, we will first briefly review the development of and literature on the field and then discuss some recent advances or developments. In particular, we will discuss regression analysis of interval-censored data with informative censoring or when there exist several correlated failure times.

The brief introduction to the reporter: Prof. Sun, professor of statistics at the University of Missouri, Distinguished Professor of Jilin University. He received a bachelor's degree in mathematics and a master's degree in probability statistics from Jilin University in 1983 and 1986, and he received a doctorate degree from the University of Waterloo in Canada in 1992. He majors in biological statistics, biological information and nonparametric /semiparametric statistics. He is elected as a member of the American Statistical Society, the American Institute of Mathematical Statistics and the International Institute of Statistics.
